13 years of ‘Community’ – Our favourite quotes from the sitcom
Community was one of the most underrated American sitcoms during its air time. It was not only good with its comic timing but the subtle references, the attention to detail throughout the span of six seasons was laudable. It’s almost unbelievable that the show was cancelled. I understand this now because I recently binged the entire show, even though it was on my watch list for years. It is safe to say that my emotions now are similar to Abed’s when he was obsessed with The Cape “Six seasons and a movie.” Now, that it’s been 13 years to its release, we remember the awesomeness of the show with these 13 quotes.

“Chaos already dominates enough of our lives. The universe is an endless raging sea of randomness. Our job isn’t to fight it, but to weather it together, on the raft of life.”
Abed Nadir

“I don’t know what to do! My whole brain is crying!”
Troy Barnes

“None of us have to go to anyone, and the idea we do is a mental illness we contracted from breath mint commercials and Sandra Bullock. We can’t keep going to each other until we learn to go to ourselves. Stop making our hatred of ourselves someone else’s job, and just stop hating ourselves.”
Jeff Winger

“It’s the first season of Lost on DVD.”
Abed Nadir
“That’s the meaning of Christmas?”
Pierce Hawthorne
“No, it’s a metaphor. It represents a lack of payoff.”
Abed Nadir

“You are human tennis elbow! You are a pizza burn on the roof of the world’s mouth! You are the opposite of Batman!”
Troy Barnes

“Accidents Don’t Just Happen Over and Over and Over Again, Okay, This Isn’t Budget Daycare.”
Annie Edison

“People die every day, and by the time I finish this sentence, a hundred people will have died in China.”
Jeff Winger
“Why…did you stop talking?!”
Troy Barnes

“I lived in New York, Troy. I know what a ‘baggle’ is.”
Britta Perry

“You’re wearing protective goggles to destroy my car?!”
Jeff Winger
“Safety first!”
Ben Chang

“TV’s rules aren’t based on common sense. They’re based on the studio wanting to milk their profits dry.”
Abed Nadir

She was born in the ’80s. She still uses her phone as a phone!”
Troy Barnes

“The funny thing about being smart, is that you can get through most of life without ever having to do any work.”
Jeff Winger

“We’ll definitely be back next year. If not, it’ll be because an asteroid has destroyed all of human civilisation. And that’s canon.”
Abed Nadir
