Quarantine Times: What TV Shows Team Libas Now Is Watching
In this edition, we asked team Libas Now to share with our readers the TV shows they’ve been binge-watching. Be it their favourite classics or new Netflix releases, here is what they shared;
I’m binge-watching The Big Bang Theory because honestly, everybody needs something to cheer them up and put them in a light mood amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis and all the doom in the world.
My husband is very into Ertugrul which has a million episodes so that’s what we’ve been watching. Season 1 was brilliant, 2 was alright, 3 is a soap opera but it has just become habitual now as my friend put it.
TV shows have been my weak point. Although there are still so many I have to watch. I just started watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine, because I’ve heard so much about it and the Backstreet Boys video that went viral has been stuck on replay in my head ever since. Can’t wait for that scene.
I’ve been watching the documentary The Greatest Events of World War II. Not only is it easily explained in detail, but is also very eye-opening. It tells you about all the conspiracies revolving around World War II.
I’m not much for TV shows but desperate times call for desperate measures. During my time in quarantine, I made it a point to watch a TV show and somehow ended up on The Roman Empire. It’s a mix of documentary and historical epic which will surely keep you hooked if you’re interested in history.
I’m binge-watching Breaking Bad; because I’m a genius and never watched this epicness before. I’m so glad I get to binge-watch it without any distractions.
Schitt’s Creek is a Canadian sitcom that never got the attention it deserves. Now in its sixth and final season, the show revolves around a bankrupt family forced to live in their only remaining asset; a small ‘s[ch]itty’ town they bought as a joke. The show’s dry humour is definitely my brand of comedy and I’m really enjoying binge-watching the last season.
I haven’t started a new TV show yet because I’m quarantined with an extremely precocious 15-month-old, However, I often re-watch The Office whenever I get a little pocket of me-time and, as I’ve always maintained, that show is a gift that keeps giving. In fact, I often wish that there was an Office episode about Covid-19 and social distancing; pure gold.
I’m a sucker for good thrillers. This quarantine situation got me asking around for some good TV show recommendations that I could catch up with, and literally everyone I know has suggested one name over & over again; Money Heist. I’ve finally decided to start binging it this week after a bunch of great reviews, so let’s see what’s all the hype about!
